MENTAL WELLNESS IN THE WORKPLACE WORKSHOPS

At the Tip of Your Fingers

Because of my professional background in HR in the Corporate World for over 20 years I understand the Corporate environment well.  Life is stressful, that we know, work can also be stressful, that we also know.  A stressed or anxious employee can result in a decrease in creativity, productivity and presenteeism in the work place, also an increase in Short Term and Long Term Disability costs.

Combining my HR experience and education in Mental Health I have developed and deliver the following workshops in the workplace to assist people in recognizing signs of anxiety and stress in themselves and others,  the workshops also provide good self care tips and techniques that employees can use in the Workplace and in life to promote Mental Wellness and resilience.

These workshops work well for team meetings or as lunch and learns.  The workshops typically run for one hour.  They work best for small groups of 8 to 15 employees.

The workshops I do are listed below, though I can modify/combine any on an as needed basis (may increase cost of workshop depending on level of modification required, call or email me to discuss rates).

Anxiety, stress and Mental Health - What are the signs of anxiety and stress? How to recognize the signs in myself or others that help may be required.

Self care 101 - This workshop touches on the importance of good self care in life. Different self care methods are explored and talked about. Attendee's will leave with practical tips and know more about options available for them to explore.

Mental resilience in life - Being mentally resilient means we can bend to the ups and downs of life, or the pressure and stresses, rather than break. In this workshop we explore what is mental resilience? what are the benefits of mental resilience? how can we get it? how can we practice it?

Introduction to Meditation  meditation is a way of transforming your mind and body, the benefits include, relaxation, mental clarity, increased concentration and well being.   Introducing a Meditation practice into your life can be transforming.

Guided imagery/visualization – visualization is the use of the imagination through mental images in order to evoke feelings of relaxation, it is based on the concept of mind-body connection. This method can be used in helping people identify and achieve goals.

All workshops offer unique opportunities to deepen the attendee's experience with themselves and also with each other.  These workshops offer many ways to help with mental wellness, how to recognize when we or others may need help as well as proven relaxation techniques. The workshops can also assist with team building and communication.
